Good news for Silent Hill fans. Silent Hill 2 Remake surpassed the 2 million copy sales threshold shortly after its release. While celebrating this great success, Konami also gave hints about the future of the series. Here are the details!

Is Silent Hill 3 Remake coming?

Developed by Bloober Team, Silent Hill 2 Remake was released for PlayStation 5 and PC in October 2024. The game managed to sell 1 million copies just a few days after its launch. Now, sales have reached 2 million and it's on track to become the fastest-selling Silent Hill game in the series.

Following this success, Konami said in a statement that the game received “perfect” scores from multiple reviews, cementing its position as a classic in the horror genre: “Silent Hill 2 has won multiple awards and received countless nominations. It has established itself as a timeless masterpiece in the horror game genre.”

The success of Silent Hill 2 Remake may increase Konami's interest in the Silent Hill series. The company is currently working on Silent Hill F and Silent Hill: Townfall. But fans want to see remakes of older Silent Hill games as well.

The game has also attracted a lot of attention from mod makers. Several mods have been developed for PC players, including graphics updates, fog removal and access to the Sunny Hills area. Players say that Silent Hill 2 Remake has new puzzles, improved maps and additional content compared to the original version.
