Capcom has partnered with GOG to offer Dino Crisis 1 and 2 for the PC platform. Here are the details.
Capcom has re-released the first two games of the Dino Crisis series on the GOG platform, bringing a breath of nostalgia. Dino Crisis, which debuted on PlayStation in 1999 and its action-oriented sequel in 2000, is now available on PC. This development brings the series that inspired Resident Evil to the PC platform.
Dino Crisis legend comes to PC
One of Capcom director Shinji Mikami's first projects, Dino Crisis breathed new life into the survival horror genre by transporting players to a jungle full of dinosaurs. The series has gained a huge following over the years and stood out as one of the series that users most wanted to see in the Capcom survey.
Mikami had doubts about the possibility of a new Dino Crisis game due to the success of the Monster Hunter series. However, Capcom managed to make fans happy by re-releasing the first two games on PC.
The PC versions, available in partnership with GOG, come DRM-free and with a number of improvements for modern systems. Windows 10/11 support, 4K resolution, updated DirectX rendering, V-sync, anti-aliasing, and many other settings. There are also fixes for save file issues with the PlayStation versions.
