We are witnessing a historic day for Xbox and PlayStation consoles: Forza Horizon 5 is coming to PS5 very soon!
Microsoft Xbox's most popular racing game Forza Horizon 5 is coming to PlayStation 5! In a surprise announcement, Playground Games has officially revealed that the game, which was previously exclusive to Xbox and PC, will be coming to PS5 this spring. This development is seen as part of Xbox's policy to bring its exclusive games to different platforms.
All content will be available on PS5!
The PS5 version of Forza Horizon 5 was developed in collaboration with Panic Button and Playground Games and will feature the exact same content as the Xbox and PC versions. All of the game's previous intermediate packs, Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure expansions will also be available to PS5 users at no extra cost. In this sense, players will be able to enjoy racing on Mexican roads with nearly 900 cars, more than 40 thematic game updates and a huge open world map on PS5.
This announcement is part of Xbox's strategy to bring more of its games to different platforms. It was previously announced that Xbox games such as Sea of Thieves and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will also come to PlayStation. Xbox CEO Phil Spencer stated that they will also support Switch 2.
Although the official release date of the game is not clear, it is expected to meet with players in the spring. With cross-play support, PS5 players will be able to compete with Xbox and PC players on the same servers.
